Who am I?
I’m Paul Turbett, and I live in Perth, Australia with my wife and dog. I’ve been a software developer, mostly in the field of games, since the early nineties.
Black Lab Games is my latest initiative in building games. I’ve started a few game companies (Silver Lightning Software, Benevolent Interactive) and worked for a couple of others (Interzone Games, Spinfast). Now I’m taking another shot at it.
I think it’s a really exciting time to be an independant game developer. With the awesome reach of the Internet, and every console now having an online store, not to mention the rise of certain mobile phones as gaming devices, there are more opportunities than every to make something great and get it out to people to enjoy.
